This mare was purchased to be trained and sold for a profit. The trainer thought he was placing the mare in a good home when she was sold. To his horror he discovered her severely neglected. In just three short months she was seriously malnourished and injured. She was subsequently put down.

We are sharing these photos in an attempt to educate the public. We must all do a thorough job of investigating potential homes for our four-legged friends. Their lives are in our hands, even when they leave our homes to continue their journey with new owners. We can stop abuse and neglect. Scroll down to view the mare in the hands of her new owner.
